I help AI companies run on GPU clusters, from H100 to GB300. On my own time I build things and finish them: an AI film pipeline that has shipped 14 films, a 1.2-million-character novel, and, back in college, a startup that raised a seed round.

AI music films, made with a pipeline I built

Since July 2026 · 14 films

Historical portraits, life stories, a love story, travel diaries, Zhuangzi's essay and one deep-sea fantasy. A typical film runs about three to four minutes, cut from 36 storyboarded shots, delivered in 4K with Chinese–English subtitles and a credit for every AI model used. They all go through the same pipeline: 7 steps and 22 tasks, packaged as 30 Claude Code skills. Every mistake goes into a log that now holds 886 lessons, and I sign off every checkpoint myself.

Vdanmu 微弹幕, co-founded in college

2014–2017 · Wuhan · Co-founder & product lead

Vdanmu put an audience's live WeChat messages onto the speaker's big screen as scrolling danmaku (bullet comments), at campus galas, company annual meetings and in classrooms. I co-founded it in my second year of college and led product. We reached 300,000+ users in under three years and raised a US$150K seed round, and I co-invented two Chinese invention patents on it (filed by HUST, granted 2018).

Let No Regrets Remain 不使意难平, a finished novel

2024–2026 · Qidian · 300 chapters

An alternate-history novel I serialized on Qidian from June 2024 and finished in June 2026: 300 chapters, about 1.2 million Chinese characters. I'm also adapting it into a visual novel, first in Ren'Py and now in Unity.

One bar per chapter; height is its length.

Hongyi 宏依, AI music films for everyday stories

Since July 2026 · public-interest project

A spare-time, public-interest creative project: everyday stories, shared by the people who lived them, become three-minute AI music films with Chinese–English subtitles.

A year-long devlog on building AI products

Mar 2025 – Mar 2026 · Bilibili and YouTube

A year of short videos on what I was building and testing: agent papers, Ren'Py, a visual-novel generator and its refactor after 30,000 lines.

Each dot is one public piece with a link: a novel chapter, a film, a devlog episode, a paper, a repo, a drawing. The oldest sits at the center and every year adds a ring. Point at a dot to read its label; click to open the original.

Experience

  1. Dec 2025 – nowMountain View, CA

Technical Account Manager · GMI Cloud (opens in a new tab)

Technical owner for 20+ enterprise AI customer accounts on hundreds of GPU servers (NVIDIA H100, H200, B200, B300, GB200 and GB300), across GMI's own data centers and partner capacity, on Slurm, Kubernetes and bare metal.

    • Lead incident triage, hardware RMA tracking and root-cause communication; write evidence-backed SLA credit reports.
    • Run pre-delivery burn tests (DCGM, NCCL, stress, storage) and gate acceptance on reachability, login, GPU health and the customer's own workload. Built a one-command GB300 burn-test suite that produces a customer-ready PDF report.
    • Started an observability program for partner capacity: Prometheus exporters and a fleet-health dashboard on the office wall screen.
    • Turned the job itself into software: a versioned library of 55 structured prompts and 11 Claude Code skills (credit reports, incident analysis, maintenance notices, burn tests, weekly reports), plus 120+ AI-assisted situation reports since March 2026. I still review every message before it goes to a customer.
  2. Sep – Dec 2025Palo Alto, CA

AI Application Engineer · ViiRaa (opens in a new tab)

    • Built a native iOS app (SwiftUI, HealthKit and 15+ Apple frameworks) that turns continuous-glucose-monitor data into AI health insights, and prepared the TestFlight build and App Store submission, including the Guideline 4.2 review.
    • Implemented Supabase Auth with OAuth 2.0 and Keychain-stored tokens; single sign-on cut login time by 50%.
    • Set up CI/CD with GitHub Actions and Docker, and built LLM agents to automate internal workflows.
  3. 2024 – 2025Bothell, WA

Research Assistant · University of Washington Bothell (opens in a new tab)

    • Built LLM pipelines that turn a novel's text into a visual-novel game: scripts, branching dialogue, character art, backgrounds and music, generated across several models and stitched into one playable build.
  4. Nov 2024 – Jul 2025Redmond, WA

Software Data Operations Engineer · MAQ Software (opens in a new tab)

    • Data migration and modernization on Microsoft Azure for enterprise clients: specifications, ETL/ELT pipelines (Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Synapse, Fabric), test plans and Power BI reporting.
  5. Aug 2020 – Sep 2022Shanghai

Customer Engineer · Microsoft (opens in a new tab)

    • Deployment, troubleshooting and workshops for 50+ top enterprise customers, supporting $10M+ in ongoing Microsoft cloud consumption.
    • 1,400+ customer-facing hours a year on Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Defender, with 95%+ customer satisfaction.
    • Earned 69 Microsoft accreditations in Modern Work, plus the Teams Administrator Associate and Security Administrator Associate certifications.
  6. Jul – Oct 2019Guangzhou

Product Manager Intern, WeChat Group · Tencent (opens in a new tab)

Pencil drawings

A habit since school. Most are fan art; where a time is signed on the page, that's how long the drawing took. All 16 dated drawings are also in the rings.

EmployersIf you're hiring
Customer-facing AI infrastructure is my day job: GPU clusters, incidents, and turning messy operations into tools a team can reuse. Résumé on request.
PartnersIf you'd like to collaborate
Co-creating AI short films, or comparing notes on AI film pipelines and agent tooling. I like working with people who finish things.
InvestorsIf you invest
I co-founded Vdanmu as an undergraduate; we took it from zero to 300,000+ users and a seed round. Always happy to compare notes.
